But yeah, Bite is a 5KO with you having the first move. If the 20% chance of you causing a flinch carries over, you have a 113/625 (just short of 18%) chance of winning off flinch spam alone given three bubbles is a guaranteed KO. Every time he doesn't use bubble the odds of you winning go way up, especially if he wastes a turn on other moves. Winnable, sure, but it depends on how nintendo hard the dev's feel like making it. No allusion intended.
Also, while no argument that Blue is a skilled trainer, he's also a huge dipshit and could easily make a twat of himself by gloating and assuming he'd win easily - at least in the very first battle in the gym.
