"Aw yiss food." Just as I'm about to eat, I spot this guy standing around. "Oh! Oh, hey you! Weirdo staring into space!" I start shouting and waving to get this guy's attention. "Oh, oh! Over here! Sit here!" Yeah, looks like we made eye contact! Now he can't escape!

As I look around the room I see a really small pink haired girl frantically waving at me, yelling for me to come sit by her. I stagger back a bit in shock and just stare at her for a moment. Even though there only seems to be two people at her table she seems rambunctious enough that it may as well be full.

Oh well, a seats a seat, and I just need to sit long enough to finish my meal. I walk over, silently take a seat at her table, and begin to eat.

I made it to the lounge, but it seems awfully crowded. I knew it would be, but I had underestimated the amount of people regardless. Now of course, I only realized this when I had already gotten my food on my tray. Typical Jin luck. Now where the hell do I sit? I stand around with my tray, scouting for a spot. In hindsight, I can't find any completely empty tables, yikes.

"Woah, woah. Hold on a sec. At least say somethin." I'm excited for another person, even if they're a weirdo who doesn't speak. "Oh my gawd, you're a mute aren't you! Oh you poor thing, that explains so much. Well, at least it's not any worse than whatever weird language that guy speaks." I gesture to Page. "Oh, my name is Alli!" Hmm, I peer at him, surely if he can't talk he has a name tag or something

Whoa, that was pretty random of Alli to do that, but her personality definitely helped the stars align towards something like this happening. The way this unfolded kinda reminded me about what I learned about how Pokemon battles out in the world work. Two trainers making eye contact lead to a battle. That ain’t the point though, point is, Alli caught the attention of some random guy standing around. Wait, did she just say I spoke a weird language? At this point, I’ve gotta interject.

“Hey lady, I speak perfectly good English, might just be a scoshe different from what you’re used to, but it’s not like I’m speaking a completely different language.” I just sigh as I take another bite out of my bread. “Name’s Page. Exciting right?” I say sarcastically. “If you press the button on my jacket, subtitles should appear in front of my mouth” I say as I point to the button on my front pocket.

I stare blankly at the girl who waved me over to her table as she verbally hammers into me. Man, this girl can talk, and talk, aaaaaaaaand talk. I just sit hunched over my plate a little, one elbow resting against the table, chewing on my sandwich while she talks. All I really catch though is that her name is Allie, I think she called me a mute, and pretty boy over there apparently doesn't speak english.

I finish chewing the bite of my sandwich and wait for her to shut up for a second before responding. Pretty boy ends up actually giving me the opening as he introduces himself as Page and makes some dumbass joke.

"Matthew" I say bluntly as I continue to eat my sandwich.

I lean over to the new guy and whisper. "Poor thing doesn't realize his condition." And I close my eyes and shake my head solemnly. "Wait? For realsies!" I make an immediate attempt to push that button. What sort of witch magic is this jacket, I hafta see this. "How do you push this? This is worse than the bus window!" After a few attempts I sit down and pout. "I feel lied to..." I turn back to this guy named Matt. "Oh, so where are you from? Is it amazing like this place? Do you have a Pokemon?"

I watch as Allie attack pretty boy over there, trying to push the button on his shirt. I don't know if this girl is just that dumb, or really naive. Then again, some of the less social kids back on the military base probably would of fallen for that one back in the day, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt on just being naive for now.

Naive, and apparently really nosy as she berates me with questions afterwards. "Nimbassa City, and yeah I do." I say, regretting sitting down here. At least I'm almost done with my sandwich.

A condition, cute. And just when I think she can’t be any more of an airhead, she bites on my sarcasm and actually tries pushing the pocket button on my jacket. I gently lift her hand away from my shirt pocket.“It was a joke, Alli, come on now.” I can’t help but wonder if this chick is gonna be in any of my classes, cause I get the feeling she’s gonna be a real handful with how little she knows in terms of social etiquette. I sigh as I remember her status as an orphan, right. Matthew mentions that he’s from Nimbassa, which catches my attention. “Ah, so you’re a Unova kid too, huh? Route 4’s a bitch to get through but there’s a good steakhouse there.” I’m deadly serious, that place has great steak.

"Oh, I'm probably being annoying again. They were always like 'Shut up, Allison' back at the orphanage." I guess I can get a little overwhelming or something, I don't really know what that means but they said it a bunch. While keeping my smile I apologize. "Sorry if I'm annoying!"
