black and white clothing, but he also likes red and purple. Jin usually has a tear drop necklace on his neck.

Name: Jin Takuya
*Nickname: Taku
Age: 16
Region of Birth: Johto
*Current Region and Town/Place (where your character lived before coming to the Academy): Unova - Castelia City
History: Jin has lived most of his life in Ecruteak City, but he has also lived in Castelia City. He was raised in
a family with 5 members, by 2 rather young parents in their mid twenties. He befriended a Gastly when
he was quite young. His father turned alcoholic, that was a good man when he wasn't drunk though; but he'd be drunk more often than not. For siblings he
has 2 sisters, a little sister and an older sister. The female members of his family are just about the only females he doesn't have prejudices on. His mother was always very kind lady, who took care of the family. She always encouraged Jin to keep
practicing soccer, and allowed him to have Haunter. Unfortunately their family broke up
at some point due to his father and mother having a lot of issues, and his father would be very violent when drunk, and would always cause a lot of trouble. This went on for years before it ended. Father moved to Castelia City, and the rest of the family stayed in Ecruteak City.
Later on their mother got death-sick, and was bed ridden for months.
The siblings had to learn to do most of the things on their own, and they became very independant. Things proved to be fatal - and their mother was lost in the hands of the grim reaper. She went out peacefully though,
and the sisters actually expected this to happen. Although Jin couldn't believe it. He was the closest one out of the
siblings to their mother. He was around 11 at the time. He had even made a friend, even though
he was usually a loner. The family had to move, but it was so sudden Jin couldn't even wish goodbyes to his friend that he
qot quite close to. He was his only, genuine real friend that he had known for a long time. Jin was even more sad. At this point he started turning different. The family moved to Castelia City to their Dad, who had stopped drinking
and other bad things, after the shock of their mother dying. He knew it was his fault. So did Jin, deep down. He couldn't forgive his Dad. But he later on developed respect for him and accepted him as his Dad, although that wouldn't be the case for a while.
The kids went to a Middle School in Castelia City. Jin became a hermit, a lone wolf.
He wouldn't try to make friends. What was the point of it all to him anymore. Everyone regarded him as a creep. He would get bullied a little bit, but it had no effect on him at this point so it stopped eventually. His middle school life wasn't very bright, although it had some good sides to it. Atleast what Jin felt like was good for him.
He learned how cruel the world of children really is. There is no understanding to others, and the ones who stand out get picked on. Well, he still had his caring sisters and Haunter too. That made him appreciate all of those things, that he considered family. At one point in time he was starting to turn to the better, because of a girl that was looking
out for him, and helping him. There was no ''love'' involved as Jin thought, so he actually confessed to the Girl that he liked her, which only made things awkward. He got rejected, and the girl told him that she wasn't into him that way, but
saw him as a friend.
However Jin regarded this as her expressing her pity and empathy towards him, and he discarded the friendship right there.
It hurt his pride and he was even embarrassed, he of all people, who can read others like a book; had read wrong.
He ran off and wasn't seen that day again. Any time she would try to contact him now, would be of no use. Jin realized that the only people he could trust was family, and pokemon, specifically his Haunter. He started training Haunter, and came to the realization that he would like to attend a school for Pokemon Trainers some day.
So his middle school days passed, miserable as always. After what happened on that one fateful day, he was even more of a loner and the girls of the class thought him to be disgusting. Just about every single one of the boys, but
one saw him as a loser. The girls thought this because they didn't know any better.
Some said he even had the looks, although those cold eyes and his attitude just killed it. They also didn't like his
drop dead honest attitude.
Jin didn't let this stuff get to him though. It was irrelevant to him. He knew people wouldn't accept his ways, nor would they
understand him. He also knew they were jealous. A lot of the boys knew how smart he was, and he had a cool Haunter.
They felt vulnerable perhaps even inferior in some aspects. Every time Jin would open his mouth to state facts about them, they'd
just be astonished at how accurate and home hitting some of the things were that he could say.
Not that he didn't get any backfire; but he was like untouchable to that. Talk didn't get to him, and he already knew how miserable he was so he would
just belittle himself more. This creeped people out. In the last year he made friends with this one boy, but the boy made
clear none of this was for pity. Jin accepted this relationship, but didn't think of it as genuine exactly. They were
just 2 school mates who would talk to each other on lunch breaks and on the way home. Jin forbid him from talking to him in class though, because he said he would just drag him down to the same level as he is. They had some similar interests and experiences, so that kept them talking. They both decided that they would go to a Pokemon School after Middle School. This was a promise between them, not that it meant all that much but it was something definitely. After his painful middle school ended, he would look towards Kobukan Academy. Some would say what a tragic life, which Jin agreed to, but he thought that it has taught him so many valuable things that he even respects it. He calls himself a victim of society and bad luck. But doesn't pity himself and won't let others pity him. Either way, Haunter and his sisters always kept him company at the worst of times. His father also managed to sort of redeem himself, as he became a better man
and would take good care of his family and he got somewhat closer to Jin.
He would still not be forgiven completely though.
Personality: Pragmatic; to him the result matters more than how the result is achieved, blunt, serious, sometimes
annoyingly sarcastic. His humor is mostly about sarcasm, irony and belittling himself. He also sometimes likes it
when the jokes are so bad that they are almost good. Also observant, lazy to some extent since
he prefers not to do something if he doesn't have to, if he has he will do it as quickly as he can.
His attitude is slightly vain, apathetic. Tends to talk to himself sometimes, and is pessimistic.
Although he is kind to some extent underneath all this, but it takes a special person or an event to trigger that.
Thus it is possible for him to show loyalty, care and kindness, but very unlikely. Jin is highly intellectual.
Quite independent.
His main hobbies are reading, playing soccer, television, gaming, television. He is pretty good at running and swimming too, but those are rather tedious things to do for the most part in his opinion. He likes his Pokemon a lot, because
he feels like they understand him. He isn't very interested in battles, but he doesn't seem to dislike them either. He just regards them as a bother. Jin still trains his Pokemon a decent bit, so they aren't exactly weak, so to say.
However, Jin will probably refuse a fight if there is no reason to fight.
He knows people don't really understand him, but he doesn't mind that has he doesn't expect them to. All of these rather ''negative'' traits Jin has accumulated after several traumas in his life.
Jin possess impressive perception skills, which means that he can read people and their intentions very easily. He also can lie or manipulate others if necessary, although he doesn't like to do that. He hasn't much to lie about really. He is drop dead honest most of the time just because that is how he happens to be, and he doesn't like manipulating
or using anyone because he thinks it's cheap. Jin is rather introverted but he isn't shy by any means,
he won't fear or care what others do or say to/about him. It's very hard to hurt him.
He doesn't want to hurt others or hurt himself, although he ends up doing just that sometimes.
He tends to pretend to be oblivious or dense at times for his own reasons, usually if he doesn't want to do something
or uses this as excuse that he forgot about something. Even though he certainly isn't either of these. Despite all this, he does smile at times. It's mostly an uncomfortable, wry or a selfish looking smile, but it's possible
for him to smile genuinely.
Likes: Dark, Poison, Steel types. He also shows some liking towards Ghost, Psychic types.
The reason for liking these types is mainly the fact that they seem to understand him better, and he has more good experiences with them. He doesn't seem interested in other types at all really. Maybe water, if even that. Likes video games. He likes soccer and outdoors, although he has nothing against indoors either. Eating food is something he fancies too, but he is quite picky about his food. He likes wind and rain. Morning Coffee. Quietness. The dark.
When people don't bother him with nonsensical things.
Dislikes: Fairy and Bug, Fighting types generally. He shows a disgust in completely superficial and fake people. Overly chummy people. Small talk. Excessively hot weather. Alcohol and drunk people, smoking. All talk but no action. Pity.
Naivety. Loud noises.

Will also have an Eevee, Sneasel and Nidoran at some point.
*Personal Song/Theme: 2814 - 恢复
*Misc: Acts as if he doesn't like to be called by nicknames but he actually does, sort of. He can have a hard time relying on others, because he has had some bad experiences.
He strives not to get too deep into relationships for the most part, because to him he just thinks if he gets too close he'll just drag others down or just end up hurting himself as the relationship breaks down. He has some ingrained prejudice against girls/women, but nothing too bad.
Jin plays soccer to keep his mind off of things, and he is actually really good at it so he sort of enjoys it. He has some internal strifes within him, which sometimes stop him for a second.
Jin hasn't bad social skills necessarily, it's just that he doesn't like what he deems pointless talk and actions all that much. He has some kind of a weird pride but then he also tends to belittle himself.
*Quotes/Thoughts:
Dreams only betray.
Just about everything and anything is relative.
The ones who stand out are the ones who get picked on.
My work is done. Ergo, I'll take my leave.
Why bother when it won't last?
Once you accept and acknowledge what and who you are, you will be much more at peace.
I don't expect to be understood.
People's opinions of me are very trivial to me.
Empty promises and words without action are the worst.
Don't do what I do, but just let me do.
I tend to take a grasp on the bigger picture.
I wouldn't know.
I'll consider.
Not my cup of coffee.
