After playing the demo and noting the introduction of the key item tiles, I think it would interesting to implement an inventory system.
Maybe it would be improbable at the moment, but, the player bag has always been a staple of Pokemon Games and given that this visual novel appears to be much longer in scope than others, maybe implementing an inventory wouldn't hurt.
It allows for a implementation of battle items in the Pokemon Battle System later on. It also allows for the further expansion of the game's world by allowing items to include in-universe descriptions.
Examples of these items would include: the Rage Candy Bar and The Acceptance Letter. In addition, writing an actual Acceptance Letter would be nice.
One last idea is a little more ambitious, would y'all be interested in allowing players to collect items in the background environments of the game?
What comes to mind is that potion that was found in the first scene in Red's bedroom? If we were to click on it, we would receive a free potion. The way I would imagine this working would be similar to shooter-on-tracks or games like Infinity Blade where items are hidden in the environment like money and health potions. Would it be interesting to implement a similar system?
