Something I noticed in the 1.0.4 update, as I'm sure many others did, is that during the two days you get to free roam, the characters that are available to interact with, and where they are, are always the same. On Sunday Blue's always off campus, Hilbert and Leaf can always be found in Relic Hall, and so on. The characters were clearly placed there manually, if only for the sake of the demo. If so, then does that mean the Dev team is going to have to place every character manually for every single day that free roam is available? For the sake of their own sanity, I certainly hope not. That'd definitely turn into one hell of a time sink. Though of course, the other option is have them placed randomly by a set code, which presents its own set of problems. Such a program would mean there's a chance of some characters not appearing at all over the course of the game, completely preventing the player from interacting with them outside of scripted events and making all the work the Devs put into those interactions go to waste. What do you all think? |

Every character will have a set schedule. And don't worry, we don't have to place them manually every single day. The way the code works we just list where they'll be every day of the week, so we only have to 'place' them 14 times (cause their timetable is 2 weeks long). It's as simple as just typing in the location they'll be. For the sake of the demo we just kinda put people around the place. |
