Hello, Hyun here.
First of all I'm not talking about the Forum, but the role of the Research Center In game.
I'm just here to throw some ideas, and I agree that some of them will be complex/Hard to realize/Foolish/This is not something good for this game development/Not a good Idea, but you are the judges and I am sorry if I mess things up or If I'm not clear enough. I'll do my best to be clear and to stay simple.
1. Studying. Was already hinted in game, but didn't have any details about it. Simply put, a Quizz simulator (with maybe rewards?), and an Encyclopedia specific for the game. (Saves the trouble of looking through the web, or for people that simply don't have Internet everytime) I'm not saying that it will contains every information from the pokedex, but big lines or things that we'll find during various tests. Sometimes, there are people that play this game but who don't know everything about pokemons. (I don't know many people that know every entry from the Pokedex, for example.)
2. Item creation / Fossils
As I could see in the topic about how to obtain pokemons, we'll be able to get fossils at some point. So thinking that way, I suppose it would be in the research lab. But there are always fossils and old items.
For an exemple on how to acquire them:
Excursion outside in a specific region (let's say Sinnoh) --> Option to look for items that are underground (Explorer kit) --> Takes all the time allowed (like Catching) --> Random/Chose 1 item in a list --> Fossils, or Old stones.
Then, Research Lab --> Identifier Machine --> Old stones can be evolution stones (can be traded in the Town for another or money or I don't know, or used) or Nuggets, and Fossils will be identified and what kind of Pokemon it is.
3. Training. Simply put, things like TMs and Move tutor through the Labs. I mean, those are scientific things (You don't shove the CDs inside the pokemon's mouth) Or even more, things like in the anime, where Pikachu have to go through a special training in order to beat Onix. (If I recall.)
Thank you for taking the time of reading this if you did, and please share your opinion about it.
