| Post subject: | Hey! Is That Yellow on the Title Screen? |
Does anyone else find it weird that both Red, and Yellow are in the title screen? Until recently, I thought Red and Yellow were the same person. In Gold & Silver, Red was called Red, but he had Yellow's team. If you play as Red, you start with Charmander, Squirtle or Bulbasaur... not Pikachu. Yellow starts with Pikachu... and acquired the three starters naturally as s/he progresses through the game. Because at the end of Gold & Silver you face off against Red, who has Yellow's logical pokemon, I assumed they just combined the characters into one person. What does everyone else think? Is Yellow a separate person from Red? If they are different people, and Red and Leaf go so well together, does that mean Blue and Yellow are destined for each other? |

Yeah, I'm kinda surprised Yellow is displayed so prominently as well. I could understand her being a major player in the plot for second year, as a new Freshman, but given her position on the title screen, she looks like she should be playing an even more active role than Leaf. I mean, she's physically closer to Red than Leaf, for one. I'm also surprised because I figured this game wouldn't include strictly-manga characters, and would, at most use their manga/anime personalities to fill in gaps the games create. What I find most curious, though, is that Yellow, if she plays a role as important as her position on the main menu would indicate, has not appeared at all in the first week. Given her age, which looks to be younger than any of the Freshmen, it's possible she doesn't even attend Kobukan. If she does appear, though, I'm interested to see if she has her Viridian powers. They're central to her character, after all. It might be an interesting twist if Lance had Viridian powers too, but given what we've seen of him so far-- nah. |

Maybe Yellow will be Leaf's rival. Red and Leaf develop a nice relationship for a year, and here comes this new freshman to throw a wrench into the works. She has a pichu... I'm sure she and Red will have a lot to talk about. |

Yellow seems too young for me. Like draymonddarksteel write before... I think she can be important in the game later, but what do you think if she can appear in the game, not like a student. But.... Like a family member of one of the Kanto's characters? Or a better thing! She's your cousin and she wanted to see you in all prices! And that can explain the fact we can see her in the game, in the academy. OK.... I know the fact that Yellow have no special reliation with Red in the manga, but don't forgot Brendan and May are dating in PAL (and I don't remember they ever dating). So, in this case, it is possible that the developpers can make a very unique story like that for yellow! I write this in a very little time, so sorry for all bad english mistakes! I comme later to rewrtie correctly this reply! |

From how she is introduced in the opening, I'm almost certain Yellow is/will be on the student council. |
