Yes. There are no romantic options for the male characters so thus your girlfriend wouldn't get jealous or anything like that. |

Wait, is there a bromance system too? Like the romance system but for guys only that it doesn't get as "intimate"? I'm getting the urge to bromance brock as soon as I get the option just to see what kind of shenanigans he would drag me along for. |

Pretty sure it's not a thing. You can increase your intimacy points with all characters, however, the concept of a "bromance" isn't really a thing. The simplest way to put it as I've seen so far, your "bro" as they're talking about is your best male friend, or at least the male character with the most interaction points and I guess the most positive opinion of one another I guess. Romance is determined by achieving a number of interaction points before initiating some kind of relationship quest or event. I don't know since I'm not on the writing team but I guess that's the simplest way to imagine it. It brings up an interesting question though. Could you chase all your friends away in Pokemon Academy Life? Could Red become a Loner? Or, could Red develop an intimate relationship with a character, say Leaf; but lose all his friends? I assume that complexity will not be explored since the writers at this time seem to be going for a greater focus on character interaction and adventure rather than trying to develop some kind of graphic novel. Edginess isn't anyone's thing, well, with exception to Lord Hilbert. Maybe that's worth a thought of exploration? Can you get negative relationship points with other characters? Can you turn friends into strangers and enemies? |
