I know it was stated before that the visual novel will be based off the games with the exception of yellow, but do you have any intentions of including information from the anime about the characters? Brock is a great example. We have all this information from the show like the breeding, cooking, pervyness, and he has a big family along many other things. He also has some history with misty, May and dawn. Do you plan to include their relationships either?

Here's what we won't do.

We will not take any character from existing media, manga or anime, and just plug them as they are into the visual novel. Every character in the visual novel will be their own standalone character.

For Brock specifically, we already hinted at his nature in the visual novel. But again, we will not take his anime counterpart and just plug him into the visual novel. We won't do that for any character as, frankly, it's horribly uncreative.

Of course some characters might have similarities to their counterparts in other media, but those will be minor nods/references at most for fans. For instance, Blue is presented as arrogant, much like his early game and anime counterparts. Misty is presented as irritable like she is in the anime (and her outfit is from the Advanced Generation series), but everything else about her is specific to the visual novel. Brendan and May have similarities to Ruby and Sapphire in Pokémon Adventures, but they are not the same characters.
