| Post subject: | Free Roam Bug and Transparent/Invisible Sprites |
I've found 2 bugs. 1 bug is about the free roaming being bugged when loading previous saves. And the other is about transparent/invisible sprites in certain moments. Here's a video containing both these bugs.(I went with Brendan as my roommate) So what happens in the video is: I save on the first roam screen, then I visit 2 people(doesn't need to be specific). After that I go back and load up the save. Then the people you normally have on the first roam screen get replaced with the people on the second roam screen. Visiting 2 people and loading up the save again(getting Gardenia's and Erika's contact info). Next up you can see that I still have Gardenia's and Erika's contact info, after reloading the save. And after all that, the second bug. I kinda skipped the first part where Serena is invisible. But in the part with Hilda you can see that she's transparent. That's probably because the moment she appears(from invisible to transparent to opaque), her sprite doesn't get enough time to make itself opaque And for that reason stays transparent. Her sprite also stays invisible if you skip over the part where she appears too fast. Going back to the first bug. I visited Sabrina once and later at 3:08 I visited her again by reloading the save. An error appears because there's probably no second scene with her. Now back again to the second bug. Starting at 2:24, the same thing happens again with Serena. So my guess about the first bug is: After doing the first free roaming screen. The game sets the roam screen to the second roam screen, which makes it so the roam screen constantly resets to the second roam screen and not the first roam screen. And when you visit people, they get removed from the roam screen permanently even after you load back. Also keeping certain information, like contant info(I don't know about certain stats though). The characters will reset after doing the free roaming. I'm not a programmer, but this is just a guess. A note: Scenes that have been played can not be played again. With that I mean, doing Sabrina's first scene will make it so the second scene will appear when you visit her again. Even after you load a save that brings you back before you did Sabrina's first scene. I think this is with all the characters, haven't tested it with all of them though. This is a bit of a mess, but uhhh good luck with continuing developing the game. |

Yeah, don't save during free time exploration. Always save right before. Right now loading a save during free time kinda breaks everything. You're right about Serena and Hilda's sprites not loading because they haven't been given proper time to materialise, but that's only because you're skipping. It works fine when viewing the scene like normal. Thank you for the report. |
