The insignia of Normal-types

Normal is one of eighteen known Pokémon types.

Combat

Offensively, Normal-type attacks are not super-effective against any Pokémon type, are weak against Rock and Steel Pokémon, and do not affect Ghost Pokémon.

Defensively, Normal-type Pokémon are unaffected by Ghost attacks, have no resistances against any Pokémon type, and are weak against Fighting attacks.

Lenora is the instructor of the Normal-type elective at Kobukan Academy.

Excluding Red (player character), first-year students at the start of the game with an affinity for Normal-types include Cheren, Bianca and Whitney.
