Water is one of eighteen known Pokémon types.
Combat
Offensively, Water-type attacks are strong against Fire, Ground and Rock Pokémon and weak against Dragon, Grass and Water Pokémon.
Defensively, Water-type Pokémon are strong against Fire, Ice, Steel and Water attacks and weak against Electric and Grass attacks.
Key people
Wallace is the instructor of the Water-type elective at Kobukan Academy.
Excluding Red (player character), first-year students at the start of the game with an affinity for Water-types include Blue and Misty.
