Grass is one of eighteen known Pokémon types.
Combat
Offensively, Grass-type attacks are strong against Ground, Rock and Water Pokémon and weak against Bug, Dragon, Fire, Flying, Grass, Poison and Steel Pokémon.
Defensively, Grass-type Pokémon are strong against Electric, Grass, Ground and Water attacks and weak against Bug, Fire, Flying, Ice and Poison attacks.

Ramos is the instructor of the Grass-type elective at Kobukan Academy.
Excluding Red (player character), first-year students at the start of the game with an affinity for Grass-types include Leaf, Brendan and Gardenia.
