Shauna is a highly energetic girl who equally friendly with practically anyone she meets. When she enrolled in Kobukan Academy, she had two things on her mind: to grow the bonds she currently shares with her friends and also establish new ones.
As she and Serena are close friends from Vaniville Town, they matched up as roommates at the academy.

First glance
Shauna is introduced right away as an energetic, borderline hysterical girl that Red (player character) described as "a huge ball of energy packed into a small frame." She is easily entertained and begins speaking rapidly while asking numerous questions as soon as she gets excited. She is also prone to get up close and personal to her conversation partner while jumping up and down due to said excitement.
During her spare time, Shauna enjoys playing with puzzles and gadgets while also designing her own. She met Clemont many years ago while touring Lumiose City and the two of them maintain an open line of communication. When the opportunities arise, they collaborate on small projects with Clemont handling development and Shauna testing the products.
While she may seem completely carefree, Shauna deeply treasures the connections she's made throughout her life, whether it's with people or Pokémon. She is a selfless individual who won't hesitate to place the happiness of others over her own.

- Her birthday is a reference to her anime counterpart's debut in the XY anime series in Japan, back in 2014.
- Many of Shauna's lines contain musical notes (♪), a reference to how her lines appear for her official game counterpart.
- Whether or not it's a joke, fans of Pokémon Academy Life have regularly listed Shauna as their predicted "strongest trainer" of the academy, based on her cute appearance, bubbly nature, and curious affinity for Dragon-type Pokémon.
